MEMO to rock stars, sports stars and anyone else with a watch the size of their face: Your new car has arrived.
This big boy is called the Bentley Flying Spur and rejoice, it’s NOT an SUV, it’s a rocketship limo based on the Continental GT but with four doors. And more bling.
See that Flying B mascot on its nose? The glass wings illuminate and sparkle like Tinker Bell at night.
You’ll also get a warm round of applause from bystanders for making it pop up and down using your rear-seat touchscreen remote. Yep, 100 per cent unnecessary and 1,000 per cent show-off but you would if you could.
The iPhone-sized gadget also controls the window blinds and massaging seats. Now we all know exquisite handcrafted interiors are a given from the boys and girls at Crewe but your chauffeur will be very happy too.
He (or she) has night vision and head-up display, as well a three-sided display that rotates like 007’s numberplate. One side touchscreen, one side with three traditional dials and the third side as plain wood to “detox”.

And he (or she) has got much speed to play with. The quite frankly ridiculous 6-litre twin-turbo W12 engine produces 635hp, catapults from 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 207mph.
With rear-bias all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, 48v electronic anti-roll bar, three-chamber air suspension (all sitting on a Porsche platform) and bigger brakes than the wheels of a Ford Fiesta, you just know this thing will be as agile as a race car.
Does a limo need all that? Probably not. But I can’t wait to drive it.
