Prior to the start of the NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson took a shot at Drake’s 2015 hit, “Hotline Bling.”
When asked if he would be listening to any of the Toronto rapper’s songs before the NBA Finals, Thompson said he would skip the “soft R&B songs.”
“If it’s one of his soft R&B songs, I’m gonna skip it, because I’m in kill mode right now, trying to get these four games,” Thompson said. “I’ll skip ‘Hotline Bling.'”
Drake obviously heard him.
In the fourth quarter of Game 1, Thompson was called for an offensive foul after pushing off Raptors guard Danny Green. As Thompson was walking back to the other end of the court, he was assessed a technical foul after accidentally hitting an official with the ball.
An angry Thompson then walked past Drake who was standing courtside, and the rapper did the dance to “Hotline Bling” as the Warriors star passed him.

Thompson wasn’t exactly in “kill mode” in the Warriors’ 118-109 loss to the Raptors. He scored 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field, but was quiet in the fourth quarter while the Warriors were trying to make one final run.
